Spanish universities of Alcalá (UAH, Coordinator), Alicante (UA) and Miguel Hernández de Elche (UMH) in collaboration with three universities in Central America, the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua-León (UNAN-León), the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH) and the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica-Heredia (UNA Costa Rica), offer during the academic year 2010-2011 the first edition of Master in Regional Integration. The purpose of this Official Master, endorsed by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation Spanish (ANECA), is to design a rigorous graduate program taught in Spanish language that combines both a conceptual and practical approach to the phenomenon of regional integration. The overcoming of this program will lead to obtain an official university degree according to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), valid for a subsequent PhD thesis at a Spanish university, with the added possibility to obtain the mention of European Doctor.
